How to Install a Brass Angle Valve

Brass angle valve is one of the most widely used types of valves in water-treatment plants. It’s ideal for regulating pressure, flow rates, and other fluid-flow parameters within pipelines.
These valves are available in different shapes and sizes, so you can pick the best option for your needs. They’re also made of durable brass, so they can withstand heavy-duty usage.

Unlike ball valves, they don’t require turning off and on to shut off the water supply. This makes them much easier to use.
There are two main kinds of angle valves: compression and rotary. Compression valves are operated by turning a handle, which tightens against the valve seat and stops any liquid or gas from flowing.
They’re commonly used in residential applications, and can be found under sinks, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures. They can be attached to iron, copper, and CPVC pipes.
When installing a CPVC angle valve, you can use a glue that’s specifically designed for CPVC piping. You can also use cement to install this type of valve on iron or copper pipe.
If you’re installing an angle valve on a poly or PEX pipe, you can attach it using clamp or crimp rings. Then, you can seal it with a specialized adhesive that works on both materials.
